I will follow up with a two-month review of how well the accessibility is working.
We needed a fast and simple way to get our accessibility compliance. After installing UserWay, the site just works with WCAG compliance with no additional development or changes. We are extremely happy with our choice, it saved us a lot of money in avoiding to have to develop all these capabilities into our workflows (most of which are just out of the box software that we could not and would not want to modify by ourselves).
Firstly the support - excellent. Friendly and highly responsive, couldn't ask more. A person who needs these services isn't always confident in asking for help; I feel Userway understands that.
Full accessibility compliance is expensive, no way around that. Its probably cheaper to rebuild to WCAG guidelines and scan the result; and as some have said, it doesn't fix everything. However, for a free widget, what it fixes is fixed well, and that is according to those who have to use it.
What Userway does is give an awareness of how much there is to do and how easy it is to slip. It gives a platform on which to build self-discipline in site development which was completely absent a fairly small number of years ago.
For being able to steer developers in the right direction, I consider the rating here well deserved.
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience with UserWay. As a very small startup brand that values and promotes the rights of Disabled people/people with disabilities, we wanted an accessible experience for everyone one our website. When I made an error during the process of installing it, the company was incredibly responsive. Jonatan R responded quickly when I reached out, and he set up a time for us to video chat. He was so patient and walked me through the process, answering my many questions. I was impressed that he did this for someone simply trialing the product and not someone who had purchased it. His patient, supportive response was memorable and now I hold that as an expectation from other companies we connect with. I felt the entire customer service experience--not just the widget--was accessibility based.
